Tennis Officials Australia has announced a move to a new blue uniform shirt for all chair and line umpires. The current grey, long-sleeved shirt will be phased-out over the next four years.

Kerrilyn awarded silver ITF referee's badge

Australia's top chair umpire Kerrilyn Cramer has been awarded her silver referee's badge after passing the ITF's Level Three School in New Delhi, India. Four other Australian officials received their bronze chair umpires' badges.
Become an Official
What does it take to become a Tennis Official?
Be at least 16 years of age;
An interest in tennis usually makes your time as an Official more enjoyable - but isn't essential;
No prior experience necessary;
Good natural or corrected vision.
What roles are there?
Line umpires;
Chair umpires;
Court Supervisors;
Referees; and
Chiefs of Officials.
And what training is involved?
One step at a time, you will be trained from scratch on how to become the best Tennis Official you want to be. After initial training, you'll be encouraged to put into practice what you've learnt at Tournaments as often as you're available.
After your initial training, you will be able to branch out to become a Line Umpire or Court Supervisor (or both if you like). Once you're comfortable with that role, training for other roles will become available.
