Becoming An Umpire
The first step towards becoming a qualified tennis official is to attend a course on the general principles of officiating. This course covers the rules of tennis, the role of officals, communication in officating as well as an on court session. On successful completion of this course you will be a qualified official, with experience and further training this will enable you to work tennis events such as the Medibank Sydney International, Australian Open and Davis Cup ties.
